Saint-Julien-Beychevelle

Saint- Julien- Beychevelle is a wine-growing village with 672 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) of the Medoc in southwest France.

The community is located 50 km north-west of Bordeaux on the Gironde. It consists of two settlements, Saint -Julien in the north and Beychevelle in the south and is on average twelve meters above sea level. inst

The wine of Saint -Julien, which has its own Controlled Appellation, is one of the most famous red wines of Bordeaux.

Worth seeing are the numerous wineries with their châteaux. Architecturally, the 1757 is in place of a medieval fortress built Château Beychevelle most significant.
