Vendays-Montalivet

Vendays -Montalivet is a commune in the Gironde department in the region of Aquitaine.

The municipality has 2480 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011), distributed mainly to the two districts Montalivet -les- Bains and Vendays. The community lives mainly from tourism, which focuses mainly in the seaside Montalivet -les- Bains.

The district Vendays has a church, a primary school, a supermarket and a post office, and some smaller shops. The vegetation in the community is with the exception of some farms mainly pine forest.

In the district Vendays therefore is also the regional base for the fire department.
