Sainte-Marie, Pyrénées-Orientales
Sainte -Marie (official name, too: Sainte -Marie- la -Mer, Catalan: Santa Maria la Mar) is a commune with 4650 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Pyrénées- Orientales in the Languedoc- Roussillon region. It belongs to the district of the canton of Perpignan and Canet -en- Roussillon.
Sainte -Marie consists of two villages: Sainte -Marie village 15 kilometers east of Perpignan and Sainte -Marie- Plage on the coast of the Mediterranean.
