Samassi

Samassi is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5313 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Medio Campidano in Sardinia. The community is located about 9 kilometers south of Sanluri and about 14 kilometers northwest of Villacidro on Flumi Mannu.

History

The municipality is a necropolis of the Vandals in the 5th century AD.

Passing through the municipality, the Strada Statale 196 di Villacidro. There is also a train station in town ( Samassi - Serrenti ) on the railway Cagliari - Golfo Aranci Marittima.
