Sándor Noszály

Sándor Noszály ( born March 16, 1972 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian tennis player.

Career

Noszály was active mainly on the sub-prime Challenger Tour. In doubles he won a title in his career: In 1994, he won together with Karim Alami in Tashkent. On the ATP tour him his best result achieved in 1995, when he was able to advance to the semifinals as a qualifier in Bucharest. At Grand Slam tournaments he never got beyond the first round. His highest singles ranking in the world rankings, he reached on 18 September 1995 position 95, making him the first Hungarian top 100 players since Balázs Taróczy 1984. In doubles, he was ranked 192 in May 1995.

In the years 1992 and 1996 he took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona and Atlanta. He came here in 1996 in singles and doubles competition in 1992. In 1992 he would hit double in the first round of the Romanians George Cosac and Dinu Pescariu, but he and László Markovits had the game due to injury Markovits ' give up.
