São Bernardo do Campo

São Bernardo do Campo is a town in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, which is known as a major site of heavy industry.

São Bernardo do Campo is located on the southern edge of the agglomeration of São Paulo and has around 810,000 inhabitants ( 2009). This place belongs to the frequently cited industry quadrilateral ABCD, which comprises the sub- varieties Santo André, São Bernardo ( do Campo ), São Caetano and Diadema. Until the 90s of the 20th century there were only the "triangle " ABC.
