Sara Takanashi

Sara Takanashi (高 梨 沙罗jap, Sara Takanashi, born 8 October 1996 in Kamikawa ) is a Japanese ski jumper. She was five -time Junior World Champion and Vice World Champion 2013.

Career

Her debut in the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup was Takanashi on March 3, 2009 for the season finale of season 2008/ 09 in Zaō. It succeeded in both jumping to reach the points. Her first season she therefore ended on the 54th place in the overall standings. The following season they could improve their performance continually, reaching regularly finishes among the top ten. At the Junior World Championship 2010 in Hinterzarten they reached the normal hill in seventh place. On 2 March 2010, she managed the third place in Zaō first time the leap onto the podium. The 2009/10 season she finished in 15th place in the Continental Cup overall standings.

On 3 December 2011, she made ​​her debut in the newly created Women's World Cup in Lillehammer and was fifth. She celebrated her first World Cup victory on March 3, 2012 in Yamagata. In the Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2012 in Innsbruck, she won gold in the individual competition. The premiere of the mixed- team competition as part of the Summer Grand Prix on August 14, 2012 in Courchevel won Takanashi with the Japanese team. On January 24, 2013 Sara Takanashi won the gold medal at the Junior World Championships in Liberec. So you defended her title after she was successful in Erzurum in 2012.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme, she won with the Japanese team the gold medal in the mixed team competition. Two days earlier, she had won second place in the individual competition behind the US- American Sarah Hendrickson.

With a total of eight World Cup victories, she won the overall World Cup of the season 2012/13. Also in the Summer Grand Prix 2013 Takanashi won in four out of six competitions and thus also the Grand Prix standings.

On 28 January 2014, it won for the third time in a row the Junior World Championship title in singles at the Junior World Championships in Val di Fiemme, and ersprang already two days later along with their teammates also the team title. Now with 5 titles in individual and team competitions, it is next to Heinz Kuttin the most successful Atlethin at junior world championships in ski jumping.

At the 2014 Winter Olympics they finished fourth. In the World Cup season 2013/14 Takanashi won 15 of 18 contests and was all jumping on the podium.
