Sarah Chang

Sarah Chang ( born December 10, 1980 in Philadelphia as Sarah Chang Yong -ju ) is an American violinist.

Life

Sarah Chang's parents are from South Korea. She is not related to the Korean cellist Chang Han -na. Your violin teacher was Dorothy DeLay at the Juilliard School in New York, which was also her father, violinist Min- Soo Chang learned. Her mother is Myoung June Chang composer. At age four, she began playing the violin, with five she made her first public on. At the age of about 6 years, she began to study at Juilliard at the weekend, during the week she went quite normally in the suburbs of Philadelphia to school. At eight, she made her debut at Carnegie Hall with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra under Zubin Mehta with Niccolò Paganini's Concerto No. 1 with nine she made her first recording.

Soloist

She played with leading orchestras, as in German-speaking countries with the Berlin Philharmonic and the Vienna Philharmonic. She also has performed with virtually all the world- renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti and Kurt Masur. She is good friends with Plácido Domingo. Your visit to Seoul with the London Philharmonic Orchestra in 2001 attracted 45,000 concertgoers. So the concert was the best selling of the year. Exceptionally well as a concert in 2002 was in North Korea with a mixed North and South Korean orchestra.
