Sarina Hülsenbeck

Sarina Hülsbeck, married Fischer ( born July 5, 1962 in Rostock ) is a German former swimmer.

Sarina Hülsbeck launched for the forward ASK Potsdam, where she was coached by Dierk broom. The freestyle specialist won the race over 100 meters at the Spartakiads 1975 and 1977. 1979 and 1980 she was on the line fourth in the East German championship. Thus, they failed to qualify in 1980 for the 4x100 -meter freestyle relay in the GDR at the Summer Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980. With the Season Hülsbeck was Olympic champion. She presented with Barbara Krause, Caren Metschuck and Ines Diers in 3:42,71 minutes a new world record. For this achievement, she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.

Following her playing career, she studied at the Pedagogical University of Potsdam. It is equipped with four-time world champion in canoe racing Frank Fischer, brother of Birgit Fischer, married, with whom she has a daughter and a son, both of which are or were also canoeists.
