Saxon IIIb
As a genus III b the Royal Saxon State Railways designated Tender locomotives for express service.
The German Reichsbahn ordered the majority of locomotives in 1925 in the series 34.77-78, and another one in the series 52.70.
History
Between 1873 and 1901 a total of 204 locomotives were delivered to the Royal Saxon State Railways of the company Hartmann, Henschel and Schwartzkopff. In the course of manufacture, it always came back to modifications. 18 vehicles were built as composite machines.
The Reichsbahn took over 91 machines, forgave their operating numbers 34 7701, 34 7702, 34 7721-34 7808th
Conversion of the Saxon type III
Later still paid from 14 machines of the Saxon type III with a steering axis design Nowotny and ranked these locomotives as Saxon IIIb. A locomotive arrived yet in the final numbering plan from 1925 and received the DR number 52 7,001th
The locomotives were equipped with a Tender senders of type sa 3 T and 7.5 T 3 sa 9.
