Scheuring is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech and a member of the administrative community Prittriching.

Geography

Scheuring is the planning region of Munich. There is only the district Scheuring. West of the village flows the Lech.

History

Scheuring belonged to Rentamt Munich and the court Landsberg of the Electorate of Bavaria. The community Scheuring (total area 21.34 km ², as of December 31, 2004) is documented under Duke Henry IX. under the name Sciringen ( Schyringen ) for the first time in 1130 mentioned. An earlier settlement can be assumed. The many grave hill in Westerholzmuehle southwest of the village say that in the Hallstatt period 750-450 BC, the land was heavily populated. Discoveries of 1904 brought earthenware bowls, weapons and horse trappings from this period revealed.

Under Louis the Pious, the area came to Scheuring in the possession of Guelph. 1169 transferred the ownership of the Hohenstaufen. 1386 was the area in the self- possession of the Bavarian dukes Stephen and John, gave away the 1387 tithe to the monastery Schaeftlarn. As of 1443, the monastery occupies the parish with their religious, including some important abbots of the monastery Schaeftlarn.

A rich history can also use the districts Haltenberg and Lichtenberg have, their gender is named after the districts and used to be a castle or a an electoral lock in place.

City Council and Mayor

Mayor is Manfred Menhard ( village community ). He was the successor to Walter Scharf ( village community ) in 2002.

Municipal finances

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of 1267 T € in 2009, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) € 319 thousand.

Economy

There were 2009 according to official statistics in the manufacturing sector and 79 in the trade and transport 63 persons work at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the work of 30 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 668 in the manufacturing sector there was one, in the construction of four plants. In 2007 there were also 35 farms with an agricultural area of 789 ha, of which 662 ha of arable land.

Education

In the community there are (as of 2011) a nursery with 88 places and 70 children in care as well as an elementary school, in the 163 pupils are cared for in eight classes of twelve teachers.
