Geography

Thaining located in the Munich region, about 15 km west of Lake Ammersee.

There is only the district Thaining. There is also the hamlet Ziegelstadl.

History

Thaining belonged to Rentamt Munich and the court Landsberg of the Electorate of Bavaria.
