History

The ASW 28 is the successor to the less successful ASW 24, which in turn was followed by the well-known ASW 19. The ASW 28 is - as the competing models shutters Schneider LS -8 and Schempp-Hirth Discus 2 - available as ASW 28-18 for the increasingly popular 18- m class with 18 m span. Construction
