History
The ASW 28 is the successor to the less successful ASW 24, which in turn was followed by the well-known ASW 19. The ASW 28 is - as the competing models shutters Schneider LS -8 and Schempp-Hirth Discus 2 - available as ASW 28-18 for the increasingly popular 18- m class with 18 m span. In addition, the aircraft will be offered as ASW 28-18 E with an auxiliary motor and sustainer.
Construction
As an aircraft standard class, the aircraft is equipped with a fixed profile, winglets, retractable landing gear and water ballast.
