Scrivia

The Scrivia at Busalla

The Scrivia is a right tributary of the North Italian river Po. The 88 km long river which flows through the regions of Liguria, Piedmont and Lombardy from south to north.

Course

The river rises in the province of Genoa, arising from the Torrenti Wassily ( from Torriglia coming ) and Pentema (also called Pentemina ) who come together in Montoggio and both come from the Monte Prelà. He then passes the community Casella (410 m), where added flows from the right Bravenna. In Savignone the Camiasca flows from left, after he reached Busalla where the semi Ella flows in from the right. After Ronco Scrivia the river reaches the Isola del Cantone, where enters from the right Vobbia. Then enters the river in the Piedmont (Province of Alessandria), where he first reached the town Arquata Scrivia and Torrenti Spinti and Borbera receives coming from the right. After it reaches the communities Serravalle Scrivia (225 m), Cassano Spinola, Tortona and Castelnuovo Scrivia. Here also flows from the right of a Grue. After Alzano Scrivia Molino dei Torti and he leaves the province of Alessandria and enters the province of Pavia ( Lombardy Region ). Here he runs through the municipality of Cornale (74 m) and then serves as a right tributary of the Po.
