Location

In the surrounding mountains there are numerous settlements that are primarily agricultural. In addition, located in the immediate vicinity of the reservoir Lago della Busalletta that supplies the neighboring community Busalla and regional capital is Genoa with drinking water.

The community is separated by the Apennines from the Ligurian coast. The location in the mountains of the Ligurian Apennines is also responsible for the harsh climate (in winter often with snow), which is in contrast to the mild weather conditions of the Italian Riviera.
