Sori ( Soei Ligurian ) is a municipality with 4377 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Genoa. It is situated on the Golfo Paradiso the Italian region of Liguria.

Geography
The village of Sori situated on the Golfo Paradiso the Riviera di Levante and extends within the Valle di Sori (Valley of Sori ) inland to the Val Fontanabuona. Because of its wide extent in the direction Apennines is the place with 16 other municipalities, the Comunità Montana Fontanabuona.
The territory of the municipality is mountainous and only reached the summit of Monte Becco a height of 894 meters.

Economy
Agricultural production Soris was favored by the extensive colonization of the valleys within the community, an important industry with products from olive and cereal crops as well as livestock and forestry. The Sussisa located in the district of Chiesa di Santa Maria Immacolata was built in 1754 basic feature. Legends
In the fishing a legend of the stone statue of the Madonna del Pontin is widespread today. The statue depicting the Virgin Mary with the sea in the background is supposed to be like three times into the sea, according to the legend, and have been re- echoed by the shore three times.
During a raid by Turkish pirates on July 1, 1584, the statue was stolen from the church and placed on a ship, but according to legend, it was impossible to pierce the pirates at sea, so they were forced to throw it into the sea. It was then rescued by the Soresern 1637 and situated on the medieval bridge.
On 19 June 1944, Sori was held under a heavy bombardment by Allied aircraft, in which the statue was made. According to legend, the statue was recovered eleven years later in January 1955 by fishermen from Sori intact on the beach and situated on the newly constructed bridge again.

Roads and highway
Sori is on the provincial road 1 Aurelia (Italian: Strada Provinciale ). The two departures from this are at km 510 and 511 ( of Rome). The community itself is not directly connected to a highway; the next Auf-/Abfahrt is five kilometers away at Recco on the A12. The highway crosses the valley of Sori means of a 380 meter long and 120 meter high bridge, which was the highest in Italy 1966-1971.
