Mele

Mele ( Mê Ligurian ) is a municipality in the province of Genoa with 2693 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Geography

The municipality is situated on the slopes of the Ligurian Apennines in the valley Leira. The distance to the Ligurian capital Genoa is approximately 20 kilometers.

Mele, together with the municipalities Arenzano and Cogoleto the mountain community argentea.

According to the Italian classifications for seismic activity Mele Zone 4 has been assigned. This means that the municipality is in a seismically inert zone.
