Seissan
Seissan ( Gascon: Sheishan ) is a commune with 1082 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the southwest of the country. Seissan is part of the Région Midi -Pyrenees and the Gers department. The municipality covers an area of 18.56 square kilometers. Seissan located in the Arrondissement and also in Canton Also -Sud -Est - Seissan.
Geography
The place is located about 17 kilometers south of Auch in the historic county Astarac. By Seissan the rivers flow Gers, after the department was named, and Cedon.
History
The Bastide has been established in the 12th century by Bernard IV de Astarac. In 1973, the former municipality ARTIGUEDIEU - Garrané was incorporated.
