Samatan

Samatan (French and Gascon ) is a municipality with 2350 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the French Midi-Pyrénées region in the department of Gers. Samatan is the capital of the eponymous canton Samatan.

The residents of the community call the Samatanais.

Geography

Samatan located 36 km southeast of the community In the past, Gascon province Savès and is traversed by the river Sava.
