The Neveasattel (Italian: Sella Nevea; Friulian Nevee; na Žlebeh Slovenian) is a 1195 m slm high transition in the western Julian Alps between Montaschkette and the Kaninstock. Well-maintained asphalt roads lead from Tarvisio in the Val Canale on Raibl and Raibler sea and by Chiusaforte, also in Tarvis Valley, through the Raccolanatal on the Neveasattel. The pass is in the municipality of Chiusaforte.
Julius Kugy, the famous catalogers of the Julian Alps, describes the Neveasattel as forest paradise, but today it has become a modern city hotel. From Neveasattel from a cable car to the situated at 1850 m Rifugio Gilberti Celso in Kaninstock and an asphalt road leads to the Pecolalm. The Neveasattel is winter ski and summer starting point for many hikes in the Montasio and the Cimonekette. The saddle is just like the northerly Cregnedulalm as a snake paradise (primarily adders ). Due to the increasingly hectic tourist operation, the animals were, however, soon forced out of the region.
