Sepanggar Island

Pulau Sapanggar or Sepangar Pulau is a Malaysian state of Sabah on the island belonging to the South China Sea at the entrance to Sapanggar Bay. The predominantly forested island is located about 10 kilometers north of Kota Kinabalu, rising from the sea steeply to a ridge with two peaks of 150 and 181 meters. It extends over 2.5 kilometers to the north and is up to one kilometer wide. [Note 1]
