Silawa Island

Pulau Silawa is the Malaysian state of Sabah owned island in the Darvel Bay is open to the Celebes Sea. The island is located about 11 kilometers northwest of Semporna. The largely flat island extends 1.3 km in a north-easterly direction and is up to 800 meters wide. [Note 1] In the south of Pulau Silawa adjacent to Pulau Bait; The two islands are separated at low tide by a sandy, muddy strip. [note 2] The island is separated by a few hundred meters narrow, navigable strait of Pulau Larapan in the Northeast. On the east coast is the only small settlement Kampung Silawa.
