Sergei Drozd

Syarhey Mikalayevich Drozd (White Russian Сяргей Мікалаевіч Дрозд; Russian Сергей Николаевич Дрозд / Sergei Nikolayevich Drozd, born April 14, 1990 in Minsk, Byelorussian SSR) is a Belarusian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Dinamo Minsk in the Kontinental Hockey League since 2010.

Career

Syarhey Drozd began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, for the second team, he was from 2005 to 2008 in the Perwaja League, the third Russian league, active. The 2008/09 season began at the Center Schinnik Bobruisk in the Belarusian Extraliga before he for his league rivals HK Keramin Minsk and the HK Dinamo Minsk aground in the Kontinental Hockey League in the rest of the season. The season 2009/10 he spent at the Tri -City Americans in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League. With the team, he failed in the playoffs for the Ed Chynoweth Cup until the final to the Calgary Hitmen.

For the 2010/11 season Drozd returned to HK Dinamo Minsk, for which he has since been in the KHL on the ice.

Internationally

For Belarus Drozd took at junior level at the U18 World Youth Championship 2008 U20 Junior B World Championships in 2009 and 2010 as well as some. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the A World Championships in 2010 and 2011.
