Sergey Petukhov (sprinter)

Sergei Alexandrovich Petukhov (Russian: Сергей Александрович Петухов, English transcription Sergey Petukhov, . Born 22 December 1983) is a Russian sprinter who specializes in the 400 -meter run.

In 2011 he was national indoor champion.

At the international level, he is always been used primarily as a relay runner in appearance. In 2010 he was employed at the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona in advance of the 4 x 400 - meter relay and thus contributed to winning the gold medal for the Russian team. At the European Indoor Championships 2011 in Paris and at the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul in 2012, he came with the Russian relay each to fourth place.

In 2013 he won with the Russian team at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow bronze in the 4 x 400 - meter relay.
