Sete Gibernau

Manuel " Sete " Gibernau Bulto (* December 15, 1972 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain ) is a Spanish motorcycle racer.

Career

Already in his childhood Sete Gibernau spent much time with motorcycles. His grandfather Don Paco BULTO was the founder of the Spanish motorcycle brand Bultaco. Was discovered by the Spaniards, as he excelled at the Spanish Gilera Cup and in the Spanish road championship.

At the Grand Prix of Spain 1992 Gibernau debuted in the 250 cc class in the motorcycle world championship.

500 cc - and MotoGP

From 1996 he began regularly at the Grand Prix circus. From 1997 to 2002 drove Gibernau, first in the 500 - cm ³ - and later in the MotoGP class, rather unsuccessfully for Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki - in over 100 races he came up with six podium finishes.

In the 2001 season he won the Grand Prix of Valencia at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in the MotoGP class his first Grand Prix.
