Seyi Olajengbesi

Seyi Tunde Olajengbesi ( born November 17, 1980 in Ibadan ) is a Nigerian football player at the position of a defender.

Career

Clubs

He played for Shooting Stars FC of Ibadan from 1997 to 2000 Plateau United and from 2001 to 2003, Julius Berger FC of Lagos. In January 2004 he moved to SC Freiburg in the German Bundesliga. However, his start in the second half of the 2003/04 season was very mixed. Since he could not yet the language also he had great difficulties in adapting.

In the second season im Breisgau it was better for the robust defender until he was injured in August 2004 and failed several months. In the Bundesliga game against Borussia Mönchengladbach (1:1) SC coach Volker Finke had the Nigerians replaced in the 41th minute after the then 23 -year-old defender had suffered a cruciate ligament injury without the action of an opponent.

By the descent of the SC Freiburg in the 2004/05 season due to his injury, he completed twelve Bundesliga games.

In the season 2005/ 06 he is in the 2nd Bundesliga for stem formation of Freiburg. After being under new coach Robin Dutt in the first round just was a substitute in the 2007/ 08 season, he the league rivals Alemannia was in January 2008, initially for the rest of the season left to Aachen, which it then for the previously agreed transfer fee of € 100,000 firmly committed to 2010. In the central defense Alemannia he could play in the starting line- up pretty quickly.

On 12 February 2010 Olajengbesi extended his contract until 2012 with an option for a further year. After the midfield squares thirteen ( 2010) and ten ( 2011), the season ended in 2011/12 for him and the Alemannia with relegation from the Bundesliga 2. On January 24, 2013 Olajengbesi dissolved due to a lack salary payments, his contract with Alemannia Aachen.

Six days later, he signed a contract with the second division side SV Sandhausen.

National

For the national team of Nigeria, he completed between 2002 and 2004 seven internationals.
