Shamseddin Seyed Abbasi

Shamseddin Seyed Abbasi (Persian شمس الدین سید عباسی, born February 4, 1943 in Schemschak, † 2003) was an Iranian Freistlilringer. He was a participant at the Summer Olympics in 1968 in Mexico City and in Munich in 1972.

In the Summer Olympics 1968 in Mexico City, he won the " featherweight (62 kg) " the bronze medal. Four years later he was at the 1972 Summer Olympics, which were held in Munich, fifth and just missed out on a medal.

Other successes Seyed Abbasi's are winning the gold medal in the Wrestling World Championships 1970 in Edmonton, two silver medal gains at the Wrestling World Championships 1969 in Mar del Plata and in 1971 in Sofia, and the gold medal at the Asian Games in 1970 in Bangkok.
