Shan Tsutsui

Shan S. Tsutsui ( born August 9, 1971 in Wailuku, Hawaii) is an American politician. Since 2012 he has been Vice Governor of the State of Hawaii.

Career

In 1989, Shan Tsutsui graduated from Maui High School. Then he studied until 1994 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Politically, he was a member of the Democratic Party. Between 2003 and 2012 he was a member of the Senate of Hawaii, he served as Chairman since 2010. Privately, he works as a consultant in an insurance company.

As in 2012 aufrückte the former Lieutenant Governor Brian Schatz for the late Daniel Inouye in the U.S. Senate, Tsutsui as chairman of the state Senate's constitutionally new Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii was. He held this position since 27 December 2012. He is deputy of Governor Neil Abercrombie.

Shan Tsutsui is married and father of three children.
