Shenzhen Stock Exchange

The Stock Exchange Shenzhen (Chinese:深圳 交易所, Pinyin: shen zhen jiao yì suǒ, English: Shenzhen Stock Exchange, SZSE ) is one of the two stock exchanges in the People's Republic of China and was founded in 1990.

According to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Stock Exchange is the second largest mainland China in Shenzhen.

Development

In 2006, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange listed 579 companies which together had a market capitalization of 17791.52 billion yuan (equivalent to approximately 177 billion EUR ). By July 2013, the number of joint stock companies had risen to 1537.

IPOs on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange were terminated in 2000 and will only be traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. In Shenzhen, a NASDAQ similar second market was created ( ChiNext ), which is intended for private and technology companies.

Index and special indexes

The main index SSE was introduced in May 2004. Only a few years later special indexes were added to the listing. The ChiNext Market was founded in October 2009. Since January 2006, the OTC Market Index was listed.
