Shine - The Path into Light (sometimes called Shine - The Right Way to Light) is a film from the year 1996 on the true story of pianist David Helfgott, who suffers from schizoaffective disorder and spent several years in mental hospitals. Besides Geoffrey Rush as Helfgott playing Armin Mueller-Stahl, Noah Taylor, John Gielgud, Googie Withers, Justin Braine, Sonia Todd, Chris Haywood and Alex Rafalowicz. The screenplay was written by Scott Hicks, who also directed, and by Jan Sardi.
Action
Shine tells the true story of brilliant pianist David Helfgott, who has already learned to play the piano in his childhood. Occurred Later symptoms of schizoaffective disorder, he had to seek psychiatric treatment.
Only the love for the astrologer Gillian gives him the strength to return despite his illness back to a triumphant career on the stage.
