Silvio Proto

Proto ( 2011)

Silvio Proto (born 23 May 1983; Charleroi, Hainaut Province) is a Belgian football goalkeeper who stands since 2005 for RSC Anderlecht under contract.

Career

In the club

Proto began his football career in his hometown club at the Olympic Charleroi. From there moved to the youth of the R.A.A. La Louviere. From the youth of the association of he made ​​it to the first team. His debut in the Jupiler Pro League was then Proto in the 2001/ 02 season, when Jan Van Steen Berghe was not ready. By the time he was then more frequently between the posts for La Louviere and won with the team in 2003, surprising the Belgian Cup. Thereafter he remained for two years at the club and there was even elected to his final season of Belgium's goalkeeper of the year, before transferring to RSC Anderlecht. In Anderlecht initially was only behind goalkeeper Daniel Zítka and only came to sporadic operations. As a proto then ready to be seemed to detach Zítka, he was thwarted by a foot injury. After he had recovered, he was again loaned out to league rivals Germinal Beerschot for one season. In the National Team

The international career began Proto already in the youth field. He also took part in the U-19 Football Championship in Norway in 2002 and was with Belgium last in the group stage. His debut in the senior team gave Proto in the 2006 World Cup qualifiers in the 0-2 defeat against Serbia - Montenegro. Then he came to further operations until the year 2006.
