Simas Jasaitis

Simas Jasaitis ( born March 26, 1982 in Vilnius) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player who plays at a height of 2.01 m, the position of the Small Forwards ( winger ). He is a longstanding Lithuanian national team.

Career

The first professional station for Jasaitis 2000/ 01 was Sakalai Vilnius. In the next season he moved to Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius. With Lietuvos Rytas, he was in 2002 and 2006 Lithuanian basketball champions in 2003 and 2005, each team was runner-up. After a year at Maccabi Tel Aviv, he moved to Spain, where he won the title in the ACB League with TAU Ceramica. Then Jasaitis was a year for the league rivals Joventut Badalona de active before he joined Galatasaray Café Crown in Turkey. In early 2011 he returned briefly to Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius. In the 2011/12 season he played with Turk Telekom Ankara. He then went to Russia to locomotive Kuban Krasnodar with whom he won the 2013 Eurocup.

Lithuanian national basketball team

In the Eurobasket 2007 and the Basketball World Championship 2010 Jasaitis won with the Lithuanian national team bronze medals. He also participated at the European Championships 2005, 2009 and 2011 and the Olympic Games in 2008 and 2012 in part.
