Simone Del Nero

Simone Del Nero ( * August 4, 1981 in Ortonovo, La Spezia, Italy) is an Italian football player who is used mainly as a striker.

Career

He has played 44 games for Brescia Calcio in Serie A, the Italian first division, where he obtained two goals. His first game, he completed 17 November 2002 against Atalanta Bergamo ( 0:2 ), where he came on in the 78 minutes. In the 2002/03 season he played only two games and only as a substitute. In the 2003 /04 season, he completed 21 games, but he was again mostly reserve players. He was 16 times off the bench, replaced three times and only once he played over 90 minutes - on 26 February 2004 away against Inter Milan when he met after 73 minutes to 2-1. He also scored on 15 May 2005, 1:0 ( 50 minutes ) against FC Bologna. After this season Brescia relegated to Serie B and Del Nero moved to Lazio. There he could not prevail, and were rarely used.
