Skeleton at the 1928 Winter Olympics

In the II Olympic Winter Games in 1928 in St. Moritz the first time a competition was held in the Skeleton. Venue was the natural track Cresta Run with a length of 1.210 m, a height difference of 157 m and 15 curves.

The competition was conducted in three runs. The results of all runs were added. A total of ten athletes in the competition part, but the Frenchman Pierre Dormeuil and the Swiss Willy von Eschen could not finish all the runs. The brothers John and Jennison Heaton were regular guests of St. Moritz. John Heaton won the silver medal in 1948 in St. Moritz again. David Carnegie, third place, was the nobility title of Earl of Northesk.
