Slap A Ham Records

Slap A Ham Records was in 1989 in San Francisco ( USA) based music label that had specialized in Hardcore, Grindcore, Powerviolence and thrash metal. Founder and owner was Chris Dodge, former guitarist for No Use for a Name. The genre Powerviolence owes Slap A Ham Records some construction work, many of Powerviolence bands in the first hour published here. Since 1993, the label also hosted the "Fiesta Grande " festival in Berkeley near San Francisco, occurred on the primary bands that were at Slap A Ham under contract. Dodge and hence the label moved to in the 1990s to Los Angeles. In 2002, the label was shut down for financial reasons.
