The Alstom Prima EL2P / 4 Electric locomotive for passenger, from the French family of multi-system vehicles Alstom Prima. Description

A total of 67 locomotives were supplied as follows: 12 in 2006, 25 in 2007, 23 in 2008, five in 2009 and two in 2010.
Use
The BB 27300 are since 2006 on the road with renovated VB 2N car on the Transilien lines from Paris Montparnasse.
24 locomotives are responsible for the transport of Montparnasse, 43 locomotives are responsible for the movement of Saint- Lazare. Since the BB 27300 are five meters longer than its predecessor locomotives, the VB 2N trains were reduced from seven to six cars, since some platforms would be too short for seven cars.
In Paris -Montparnasse they have the BB 8500 and BB 25500 replaced, in Paris -Saint -Lazare, BB 17000, these were not suitable for suburban services, as compared to the BB 27300 the Anfahrzug and braking force was low. The original contract for 60 locomotives was expanded to 67.
Future
The BB 27300 are only temporarily go on Transilien lines. It is planned to replace the VB 2N by double-decker trainsets between 2020 and 2025. Thus, the BB are 27300 then 27000 come with the BB in freight transport used.
