SobotÃn
Sobotín ( German Zöptau ) is a municipality Okres Šumperk in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. The community is a member of the Association of Municipalities Svazek obcí 's Valley Desne.
Geography
Sobotín located in the north of the Czech part of the country near the town of Moravia Šumperk ( Moravian Schönberg ) and near the edge of the historical part of the country Moravian-Silesian Region on the River Merta, which here flows through a valley of Altvater Mountains.
History
Sobotín was first mentioned in 1351. It was the property of the noble family Zierotin. The Host theft beggar Marina Schuch at St. Lawrence Church to Palmarum 1678 was the trigger of the witch trials of major Ullersdorf.
In the 19th century the small brothers built a steel plant in which components of bridges and railways were prepared. 1871/72, a railway connection via a branch line to the Moravian border railway was built at the instigation of the Klein brothers. By the end of the Second World War, the city was part of the settlement area of the Deutschmährer who were expelled from there in 1945. After that settled here Czechs from the interior, Wolhynientschechen and Slovaks. At the beginning of 2010, Petrov broke loose nad Desnou and Terezín and formed their own community.
Economy
In Zöptau the iron works of the Klein brothers, in which the ingredients of steel arch bridges or railroad tracks were made were. Also, here bikes were produced. Equally important is tourism, mainly for the domestic tourism.

The municipality consists of the villages Sobotín Klepáčov ( Kleppel ) Rudoltice ( Rudelsdorf ) Sobotín ( Zöptau ) and the local documents Nové Rudoltice ( New Rudelsdorf ) and Štětínov ( Stettenhof ).
