Socorro (Oriental Mindoro)

Socorro is a Philippine municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro, in the Administrative Region IV -B, Mimaropa. It has 38 348 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 26 barangays. It is classified as a community of the third income class in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.

The topography of the municipality is characterized by flat hilly terrain. Parts of the Lake Naujan National Park situated on the territory of the municipality. Your neighboring municipalities are Pola in the East, Victoria in the west, Pinamalayan in the south.
