Baco (Oriental Mindoro)
Baco is a Philippine municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro. It has 35.060 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ).
Geography
The municipality of Baco is located in the north of the province of Oriental Mindoro. It is bounded on the east by Calapan City and Naujan, on the south by Santa Cruz and the province of Occidental Mindoro in Sablayan and on the west by San Teodoro. The municipality is situated at the eastern entrance to the Isla Verde Street, this is considered a hot spot of biodiversity of marine life in the Philippines and worldwide.
