Southern Qi

The Southern Qi Dynasty referred to an era of the Chinese Empire, which lasted 479-502.

The Southern Qi Dynasty fell into the time of the division of China into a southern and a northern part of the end of the Jin Dynasty; we also speak of the time of the Southern and Northern Dynasties (Chinese南北朝, Pinyin Nanbeichao 420-581 ). The Southern Qi Dynasty was the second of the Southern dynasties, where she followed the Previous Song Dynasty ( 420-479 ), and even of the Liang Dynasty ( 502-557 ) was replaced.

In the north, it was offset by the Northern Wei Dynasty, which had been founded by the nomadic Tuoba 385. The northern boundary of the Southern Qi Dynasty was doing about 100km south of Huanghe.
