The Spyker F8 -VII was a Formula 1 racing car, the Spyker F1 2007 began in the Formula 1 World Championship.

Development history and technology

The Spyker F8 -VII was an evolution of the Midland M16, the Midland F1 Racing had reported prior to the sale of the team to Spyker in the Formula 1 2006 season. The construction has been reviewed by Mike Gascoyne; Aerodynamics has been optimized, adjusted the rear to a new transmission.

At the Grand Prix of China 2006, the team announced that for the 2007 Formula 1 season, an engine contract with Ferrari was closed and that the contract with driver Albers was extended. Thus Spyker has won both the Scuderia Toro Rosso for the Toro Rosso STR2, the 2.4-liter V8 engine to me the type designation 056

Besides Albers Adrian Sutil was committed, which was for MF1 Racing already as a test driver on board. As the only other driver from Midland you committed the second German Winkelhock on. Besides Winkelhock even took Fairuz Fauzy, Adrián Vallés and Giedo van der Garde as a test driver contract.

Racing history

Spyker 2007 had the lowest budget of all Formula 1 teams, but the team was able to develop the car during the year.
