SC Rheindorf Altach

The Cashpoint Arena (Traditional Schnabelholz ) is an Austrian football stadium in the Vorarlberg Altach. It is the home of football first division club SC Rheindorf Altach and has a capacity of 8,500 spectators, including 3,000 seats.

History

The Cashpoint Arena was officially opened on 1 June 1990 under the name Schnabelholz. In 1998 the main stand of the stadium was completely covered. After promotion back to the First League in 2004, the second- highest division, floodlights, a VIP club was set up a year later built. After the Bundesliga rise to a valid today stadium record was set on 28 October 2006 against SK Rapid Vienna with 8,900 visitors.

As the stadium is not the requirement of the Bundesliga corresponded that sees 3,000 seats as mandatory, had to be built by early 2008 with the West Stand a second, larger seat grandstand with 1,800 seats. To finance the project the Schnabelholz was renamed in June 2007 after the main sponsor in Cashpoint Cashpoint Arena.

Transport links

The stadium is located directly on the Rhine Valley motorway / Walgau and is accessed from it by the exit Altach - Götzis. From the stations Hohenems and Götzis the country with bus 22 directly to the stadium.
