Stephen Macht

Stephen Robert Power ( born May 1, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American actor.

Life

Power grew up in Brooklyn and New London County, Connecticut. He studied drama at Tufts University and graduated in 1967 with a master's degree from. In 1970 he received at the Indiana University doctorate in theater history and literature. He also attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art

Until 1975, he taught acting and appeared in theater productions, including at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Then he got a film contract with Universal Studios. As a result, he had guest appearances in the television series Kojak - Kojak, Serpico and Quincy and had a larger supporting role in Robert Aldrich's thriller The choirboys. In 1980 he played the leading role in the low- budget science fiction film Galaxina.

Between 1982 and 1983, he starred in the soap opera Knots Landing the role of Joe Cooper and from 1985 to 1988, he had a recurring guest role of David Keeler in Cagney & Lacey. In addition to his television appearances he had repeatedly film appearances, including Stephen King's Night Shift, death on a summer night and Agent Red - A deadly job. In 2003, he put in based on the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001 political thriller DC 9 /11: Time of Crisis Paul Wolfowitz dar. From 2007 to 2009 he starred in 164 episodes of the series General Hospital as Trevor Lansing.

Stephen Macht has been married since 1964 and has four children, including actor Gabriel Macht.
