Steve Duchesne

Steve Duchesne (* June 30, 1965 in Sept- Îles, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player (defender), who from 1986 to 2002 for the Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, Quebec Nordiques, St. Louis Blues, Ottawa Senators and Detroit Red Wings played in the National Hockey League. He won a Stanley Cup and was known as " migratory birds " since he joined the club eight times.

Career

Duchesne began his career in the QMJHL with the Drummondville Voltigeurs, but was on 1 October 1984 without being directly from the Los Angeles Kings, has been selected by a team in the NHL Entry Draft, taken under contract. But before he was appointed to the NHL squad the Kings in 1986, Duchesne played one more season with the New Haven Nighthawks, a farm team. But already in his first season in the NHL Duchesne was appointed to the All-Star Rookie Team. This was the start of an illustrious career as an offensive defenseman.

Duchesne left the Kings on 30 May 1991, towards Philadelphia. For him Jari Kurri came to Los Angeles. But after a season in Philly Duchesne was delivered to Quebec. In this exchange, a young Eric Lindros to Philadelphia. In Quebec, Duchesne was at the height of his young career, he scored in the 1992/93 season for the Nordiques 82 points scorer, as much as ever again. Despite this outstanding performance left Duchesne Quebec to St. Louis. After two years in Missouri Duchesne went back to Canada, this time to the Ottawa Senators, whom he left two years later, however, again - back to St. Louis. There, they took him one year. Back as a free agent with the Kings in 1998/99 in Los Angeles, he was immediately transferred again: After Philadelphia. Finally, Duchesne was "settled ": After the 1998/99 season he returned as a free agent with the Detroit Red Wings, where he in 2001/ 02, finally won the Stanley Cup last year of his career. Duchesne ended his career on 20 October 2002.
