Střítež (Český Krumlov District)

Střítež ( German Tritesch, also Zitesch ) is a municipality with 394 inhabitants ( 2006) in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers northwest of Kaplice and belongs to Okres Český Krumlov. The land area is 838 ha

Geography

The place is located in 675 m above sea level. M. Poluška in the mountains on the northern slope of the 748 m high Hájky. North of Střítež runs the state road 157 between Český Krumlov and Besednice.

Neighboring towns are Zubčická Lhotka and Zvíkov in the north, Netřebice in the northeast, Kaplice - nádraží the east, Rejty, Osovsky and Lannovy Domky the southeast, Buchtice and Maly Chuchelec in the south, Horni Pláně the southwest, Dolni Pláně in the West, as well as V Háji and Zubčice in the northwest.

History

The first mention of the place Trzietez dates back to 1358th

In 1869 six kilometers north of Kaplitz a railway station of Summerauer train because the city itself was no rail connection.

After 1945 Střítež was incorporated into Kaplice. Since 1 January 1994, the city is an independent municipality again.

The municipality Střítež the districts Kaplice - nádraží ( station Kaplitz ) and Raven ( Rabus ) as well as the hamlets and single layered Chuchelec Maly ( Small Kuchlitz ) Osovsky, Rejty and Velky Chuchelec include (Great Kuchlitz ). In the community the deserted corridors Boly is ( Wolluben ).
