The sail training ship Mir ( Russian Мир, dt: peace ) was used as part of an existing total of six ships series ( Sister ships: Nadezhda [ Надежда ], Pallada, Khersones [ Херсонес ], Druzhba [ Дружба ] and Dar Młodzieży ) after 1987 in the Gdansk Shipyard plans of the Polish sailing ship designer Zygmunt choirs built.
