Stuart Erwin
Stuart " Stu " Erwin ( born February 14, 1903 in Squaw Valley, California, † December 21, 1967 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor.
Life
Stuart Erwin was married 22 July 1931 to his death in 1967 with the actress June Collyer and the couple have a son, Stuart, and a daughter, Judy. He was primarily for his role in the film Pigskin Parade from 1936 known. For his role in this film, he was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1937 as Best Supporting Actor. In addition, he received for his work on television a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ( 6240 Hollywood Blvd. ). In 1941 he played with Bette Davis and James Cagney together in the comedy The bride came COD.
Stuart Erwin, who was involved in more than 100 film and television productions, died in 1967 at the age of 64 of a heart attack. He was cremated and buried in the Chapel of the Pines Crematory.
