Sugar & Spice is an American comedy film directed by Francine McDougall from the year 2001.

Action

The friend Diane Weston, Kansas Hill, Hannah forest, Lucy Whitman and Cleo Miller are cheerleaders at a high school. They belong to the Team A, which is led by Diane Weston. The girls are exposed to the hostilities of the Team B belonging to Lisa Janusch.

Weston goes with Jack Bartlett, the quarterback of the football team, and becomes pregnant by him, and the couple is violated by the parents. Since the girls need money for Diane, they decide to rob a bank in their city. One of the girls do not want to join at first, but it appears at the scene of the crime to concerted time.

The girls use a particular stunt, to get to the observation camera and make it inoperable. The adventitious Janusch noted quietly that the jumping girls should be backed up by three and not just two others. A little later the girls are arrested in school; at this moment presented Janusch the girls a letter from the American Association of Cheerleading in which the team A is disqualified because of insufficient assurance.

The girls are looking for a way out and promise Janusch - the witness of the investigating authorities is - the position of Captain of Team A. Then Janusch revokes their testimony, and the girls are released.

James Berardinelli wrote on ReelViews, the film offers more than punchlines Because I am a Girl or Girls United. He makes a mockery of all aspects of high school life. Sometimes he acted "clever ", sometimes " goofy ".

The lexicon of the International film said, high school comedy that strives numerous clichés and Fake gags of the genre, is neither funny nor ever the system of winners and losers in the pecking order of school and society into question.
