Sunil Gulati

Sunil Gulati ( born July 30, 1959 in Allahabad, India) is an American economist and football official with Indian roots.

Life

Born in India Gulati moved in childhood with his parents to the United States. There he attended the local high school in Cheshire, Connecticut and graduated from Bucknell University and Columbia University later. Since 2006 he is the successor of Robert Contiguglia President of the U.S. Soccer Federation ( USSF ), and since 2013 a member of the FIFA Executive Committee. In parallel, Gulati teaches as Senior Lecturer in the Economics faculty of his alma mater, Columbia University.
