Sunset Rubdown is a Canadian indie rock band from Montreal.

Band History

Sunset Rubdown was created in 2005, when Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner, who wanted to implement both a songwriter and singer of Wolf Parade, their own musical ideas. Dan Boeckner founded together with his girlfriend Handsome Furs and Sunset Rubdown Spencer Krug started first as a solo project. The first release was in July 2005, the album Snake 's Got A Leg on the small label Global Symphonic. Soon after, Camilla Wynn Ingr, Michael Doerksen and Jordan Robson - Cramer came to the band. In this cast, 2006, the EP and the album Sunset Rubdown Shut Up I have been recorded and released on Dreaming. Shut Up I Am Dreaming caused a great deal of attention and received good reviews. Followed in 2007 with Jagjaguwar, the new label of the band, the album Random Spirit Lover, which was designated by the online magazine filter as one of the best independent albums that year. 2007 Marc Nicol came as a fifth member to the band. 2008 Krug focused back on his old band Wolf Parade, brought out a new album with her ​​out.
